Interior design store Curtains by Design is making wash bags, ear defenders and scrubs for NHS workers while their shop is closed during lockdown. The design duo owners have joined the Warwickshire Scrubbers initiative to unite design and sewing skills to benefit local hospitals and have been supported by linen donated by members of the public and Rugby School.

Inspired by a customer sending a photo of their own Mexican birthday party, La Casa Loco has created a fajitas kit to enjoy at home.

The fajitas kit has been prepared and seasoned by the restaurant, all ready for diners to quickly flash fry at home. Orders can be placed at any time and paid for via their website with an allocated collection time between 12.30 and 5 pm.

The fruit and veg trader from Rugby Market has had a phenomenal response to their new delivery service.

While Rugby market is temporarily closed, customers can still get their five a day by ordering a large (£35) or medium (£20) box packed with a wide variety of fresh produce. With free delivery to Rugby, on selected days, orders are taken via phone and Facebook with payment made via bank transfer or cash on delivery.

Victoria Rule, owner of The Nest, is looking to open a bigger shop in High Street and has set up a crowd funding page for support. The new premises would be home to locally based craft businesses to sell their handmade items, a regular craft workshop space and a vintage tea room. The project has until 17 April to raise £3,000 to make Vicki’s dream a reality.

Local barber and business owner Matt Robinson, has been named as Head Judge for the British Beard and Moustache Championships. Matt has been a barber for 25 years and owns Mister Robinson’s in Church Street. Due to take place on Saturday 22 August at the Temple Speech Rooms, the championships aim to raise money for mental health and suicide prevention charity The Lions Barbers.
