Feeding NHS heroes

Feeding NHS heroes

For the past few weeks, the team at La Casa Loco have been donating 50 meals on a Saturday for the staff at the Hospital of St Cross.

Shirley Gale, Proprietor of Casa Loco, said “I know how hard the team at St Cross work to care for their patients and so I asked Kathryn Lawrence, President of the Friends of St Cross, how we could support the hospital and I was delighted to follow up on her suggestion of donating some ready-made meals.

“When some of our lovely regular customers heard what we were doing they kindly donated some money to pay for the ingredients! They continue to do this via our website and we plan to do this until the crisis is over and we get to what is the “new normal”. My staff have been delivering and cooking too. When we can re-open the restaurant, I plan to host a fundraising evening for the Friends of St Cross.”
