The Christmas tree outside St. Andrew’s church is a very special one, as it gives people a chance to remember loved ones and raise funds for Myton Hospice. By making a donation to the charity people can have a message attached to the tree. Sponsor forms can be found in print editions of the Rugby Advertiser and also at Blackham Opticians in Albert Street.

Thanks to CVC Kitchen the homeless charity Hope4 is able to offer a fabulous raffle prize. Just donate £5 to Hope4 and leave Hamper Raffle in the comment box to enter. The prize will be drawn live on Hope4’s Facebook page on Saturday 19th December at 6pm.

Rugby Christmas Cracker is a local charity which enables young people to run a variety of projects, including the Crackerteria café, and Cracker radio. This year the pop-up café offering a takeaway menu packed with savoury and sweet treats, like Mary’s homemade cakes, which can be ordered in advance and collected from their new home of Moriaty’s in Regent Street.

‘Rugby: My Town In Lockdown’ by local photographer Jamie Gray features images and testimonies of the town’s residents living under Covid-19 restrictions earlier this year. The book, which has so far raised more than £200 for Friends of St.Cross Hospital, is available at www.jamiegrayphotography.co.uk Hunt’s Bookshop and the Rugby Visitor Centre for £10.
